Quality chimney cleaning services

Your home is a big investment. More importantly, the ones you love are there.  Every year, in the United States, there are over 25,000 chimney fires resulting in approximately 30 deaths (CPSC 2009). The National Fire Prevention Association recommends that you have your chimneys inspected one each year and cleaned and repaired as needed. Thomas Chimney Service recommends that open masonry fireplaces should be swept at 1/8″ of sooty buildup, and sooner if there is any glaze present in the system.  This is considered to be enough fuel buildup to cause a chimney fire capable of damaging the chimney or spreading to the home. Factory-built fireplaces should be swept when any appreciable buildup occurs. The logic is that the deposit is quite acidic and can shorten the life of the fireplace.  Contact Thomas Chimney Service for the service needed to protect your home and family.

And remember, only burn seasoned wood in your fireplace. NEVER burn pizza boxes, foam, or paper from the holidays.
